Located at the Dongqian Lake Tourist Area, the Ningbo Jiutang Zhuoyue Sample House is a residential villa that offers breathtaking views of the natural environment. Designed by Li Zhang, this unique property combines traditional Chinese-style roofs with modern-style ceilings, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. The use of natural materials such as wood and stone adds a touch of authenticity and warmth to the space.

The villa is situated adjacent to the hills in the southwest and the lake in the northeast, allowing residents to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The design aims to create a serene and tranquil atmosphere, inspired by the spiritual elements of "sedateness and pureness" that are exclusive to Dongqian Lake. The open courtyard seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings, providing a connection to nature and a sense of harmony.

Spanning 128 square meters, the Ningbo Jiutang Zhuoyue Sample House showcases the beauty of Chinese culture and traditional architecture. The designer, Li Zhang, has successfully merged traditional elements with modern living, creating a space that reflects the poetic lifestyle of "Deep in the forest ever unknown; Comes and shines only the bright moon." The design fosters a deeper relationship between residents and their environment, offering a tranquil retreat in the midst of the bustling metropolis.

The project was completed in 2017 in Zhejiang Province, China. Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges, including creating a contemporary atmosphere within a Chinese-style courtyard. By establishing a series of relationships between interior and exterior spaces, architecture and nature, and tradition and modernity, the design successfully provides a unique and intimate experience for residents.

The Ningbo Jiutang Zhuoyue Sample House has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate exceptional technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
